OATMEAL AND APPLESAUCE PANCAKES


Hi All... wat a busy day for me today.. as usual.. sundays turned out to be a busy day for a homemaker like me.. coz tis is d day everyone is in d house!!!! being too lazy to cook for dinner, i browsed d internet again looking for sumting easy to prepare n found one interesting recipe.. "Oatmeal and applesauce pancakes" from allrecipes... hah??? pancakes for dinner.. ahhhh watever lahhhh as long as my hubby n kids stomach's full!!!! hehehe :))

This thick batter yields some seriously moist and delicious pancakes, batter may scare you but the pancakes turn out extremely good to the taste buds. So i start to prepare d ingredients.. gud..! coz everything are available in my kitchen... it was very very easy n delicious i may say coz my kids was very happy!!!! now, lets share d recipe.... jom!!!! lets try it frens....


Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup quick cooking oats
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce (dun hv tat, so i simply crushed some apples,add a cup of plain water n cook in a pan until it turned creamy)
1/2 cup fat free sour cream
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup milk

Directions

1.Heat a lightly oiled griddle over medium-low heat.
2.In a bowl, mix the flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, mix applesauce, sour cream, egg, and vanilla. Stir applesauce mixture and milk into the flour mixture until evenly moist and thick.
3.Scoop about 1/4 cup batter for each pancake onto the prepared griddle, and cook, turning once, until golden brown on both sides.
